Troubleshooting: Why Can't I Download?
If you are unable to download files in Sibme, it is likely due to a permissions issue. Permissions in Sibme control what actions users can perform within a Huddle or Workspace, including downloading resources. Below are common reasons for this issue and how to resolve it:
Common Reasons for Missing Download Access
Permissions Not Granted: If you do not see the option to download files (e.g., the three-dot menu for downloading PDFs), your account may not have the necessary permissions. This is often the case if you are a participant in a Huddle or Workspace without download privileges.
Permissions Changed: If you were previously able to download files but can no longer do so, it is possible that your permissions were updated by a Huddle/Workspace owner or an account administrator. Permissions can be modified at any time, which may restrict previously available actions like downloading.
How to Resolve the Issue
Contact the Huddle/Workspace Owner or Administrator: Reach out to the person managing the Huddle or Workspace. This could be the owner or an account administrator.
Request a Permissions Update: Ask them to review your role and update your permissions to allow downloading resources. Ensure they save the changes after updating your permissions.
Verify Access: Once the permissions are updated, check if the download option (e.g., the three-dot menu) appears. You should now be able to download and print files as needed.
