The power of Sibme happens when Users record themselves and share with others. The easiest way to record a video is on a mobile device, and it is super easy to record using an Android device.
Who is this article for?
Based on the default user settings in the Sibme platform, you should have permission to complete this task if you are one of the user levels listed below. If you do not see the screens in this article, you can ask your Sibme account administrator if you have permission.
Steps to accomplish the task:
Before you begin recording, navigate to the location where you want to upload your video (your Workspace, a Huddle, or in a Huddle). Once you are there, tap the green ‘+’ button and choose Record Video.
We do not allow you to record in portrait mode within Sibme, since landscape mode enables a better viewing experience on the web. As requested, turn your device to landscape mode.
Once your phone is in landscape mode, hit the red record button to begin recording.
At the bottom of the screen will be a counter counting down how much more time you can record. The remaining time is based upon how much storage your device has left and which recording quality you are using.
While recording, you can also tap the bookmark icon on the record screen to remind yourself where to insert a comment after you finish recording.
If you have turned on “Auto-Delete Video After Upload”, then once your video has been successfully uploaded to Sibme, it will be deleted off your device. If you have NOT turned on “Auto-Delete Video After Upload”, then your video will be uploaded to Sibme AND stored in your Offline Videos on your device. You can delete the video off your device by going to Offline Videos and deleting them there.
That’s it. Happy recording!!!
