If your video is buffering or not playing, it is likely because of your connection to the internet. The information below lists the recommended internet browsers you should use with Sibme, as well as some minimum internet connection speeds. Additionally, if you have multiple tabs open on your browser, this can impact your internet connection speed.

To check your internet connection speed, you can run a speed test from your web browser

Based on the default user settings in the Sibme platform, you should have permission to complete this task if you are one of the user levels listed below. If you do not see the screens in this article, you can ask your administrator if you have permission.

Sibme was built to work on modern browsers such as Google Chrome, Safari, Firefox, Internet Explorer 11 and Microsoft Edge. If you are having trouble getting Sibme to work make sure you have updated your browser or you can always just try another one.

Internet Connection Speed Recommendations

Below are the Internet download speed recommendations for playing videos

  • 0.5 Megabits per second - Required broadband connection speed

  • 1.5 Megabits per second - Recommended broadband connection speed

  • 3.0 Megabits per second - Recommended for SD quality

  • 5.0 Megabits per second - Recommended for HD quality

  • 25 Megabits per second - Recommended for Ultra HD quality

You can also run a speed test to check your current Internet speed.
