Release Details for July 1, 2026
Here are the important features released in Sibme's July 1, 2026 release.
Web Platform
Sibme 2.0
Sibme 2.0 is a major redesign of the platform that brings Sibme Copilot to the center of your experience and introduces a new navigation structure across the entire platform.
New Navigation
The top navigation bar has been replaced with a collapsible left-hand menu. The menu is expanded by default and includes quick access to Workspace, Huddles, Library, Observations, Goals, Forms, Analytics, People, and more. Use the hamburger icon in the top left to expand or collapse the menu. The Sibme logo takes you back to the Home page — or, if your Account has a logo added in Account Settings, your Account logo appears there instead. The breadcrumb has moved up to the top bar so you always know where you are.
Copilot Home
Your Home page is now Sibme Copilot. Rather than a static landing page, Sibme Copilot is embedded directly as your primary workspace. From here you can start a conversation, run AI Tools, browse Prompts, access your Copilot History, and add files — all without navigating away.
Teacher and Instructional Leader Personalization
When you sign in for the first time in Sibme 2.0, you will be asked to select your role — Teacher or Instructional Leader.
What this means for you: Sibme now tailors your Home experience to how you actually use the platform — whether you are in front of a classroom or coaching teachers.
Engaged and Classic Views
Accounts with AI can switch between the new Engaged view (Sibme 2.0 with Copilot Home) and the Classic view (the original Sibme experience).
To switch from Engaged to Classic: use the Sibme Classic button at the bottom of the left-hand menu.
To switch from Classic back to Engaged: use the New Sibme button in the top right corner.
Accounts without AI remain in Classic view only. Copilot Trial and full Copilot accounts remain in Engaged view only. Account Owners and Super Admins can control User access to each view from Account Settings.
Copilot on Every Page
A blue Copilot button now appears on every page in Sibme. Clicking it opens a Sibme Copilot chat modal so you can ask questions, run AI Tools, or browse Prompts from anywhere in the platform — without leaving the page you are on. On Artifact pages (Video, Audio, or Document Commenting), the modal prompts you to switch into AI Insights mode if you want to ask questions about the open Artifact.
AI Tools and Prompts — Keyboard Navigation
You can now open AI Tools and Prompts from the Copilot chat input using your keyboard. Type / in the message box to open the AI Tools menu. Type /prompts to open the Prompts menu. Continue typing after the slash to search, and use the arrow keys to navigate. Press Escape to close the menu.
Drag and Drop Files into Copilot
You can now drag and drop files — including PDFs, images (PNG, JPG), Word documents, and Excel files — directly into the Copilot chat input. Dropped files are automatically added to your Workspace.
Updated Video Page
The Video page has two changes in the new layout:
The Resource tab has been renamed Attachments. The pill on the tab still shows the count of attached files.
The Comments button has been restored to the Video page menu bar as a purple toggle button on the far right. Click it to show or hide the Comments pane.
Updated Pages
The following pages have been updated to work with the new navigation layout. The blue header bar has been removed on each, and content has shifted up to fill the space:
Workspace
Huddle Landing Page
Huddle
Library
Document Commenting — the AI Insights button has moved to the annotation toolbar level; on rollover, a tooltip reads "Ask Copilot about this Artifact."
Events
Chat
User Chat — including direct messages and Huddle Chat — is now fully separated from Sibme Copilot. Access Chat from the Chat icon in the top right corner of the screen.
Observations
The Observations module is now available in Sibme. Observations gives administrators, coaches, and evaluators a structured, purpose-built workflow for formally or informally observing and evaluating teachers and staff — separate from Goals. For full details, see the Observations Overview | Sibme Help Center.
Availability: Observations is currently available to select accounts. To get Observations enabled for your account, contact your Account Executive.
Process Creation
Process Managers can build Observation Processes — structured sets of Steps that define how an observation will be conducted. Each Step can involve collecting Evidence (Video, Audio, or documents), filling out a Form, or marking an action complete. Steps can stand alone or be organized as Sub-Steps under a Main-Step. For full details, see the How to Create an Observation Process | Sibme Help Center.
Process Assignment
Once a Process is built, Assignment Managers assign it to Users in three roles:
Observer — the User conducting the observation.
Observee — the User being observed; all data collected is associated with this User.
Supervisor — oversees observations and can monitor progress across assigned Users.
For full details, see the How to Assign Observers and Observees to a Process | Sibme Help Center.
Conducting Observations
Observers work through each Step of the assigned Process — recording or uploading Video, attaching Evidence, completing Forms, and applying Frameworks to rate and score. As Steps are completed, progress is tracked for the Observer and visible to the Supervisor. For full details, see the How to Work on an Observation Step | Sibme Help Center.
What this means for you: Observations brings purpose-built teacher evaluation into Sibme — a dedicated workflow designed for the observation cycle, not repurposed from Goals.
Forms Reports
Submitted Date Column
A new Submitted Date column has been added to the data tables in Forms Reports. The column shows the date each Form was submitted, making it easier to track submission timing across your Users. The Submitted Date is also visible in the detail pop-out for individual Form submissions.
AI Insights
Updated Framework Prompts
The Framework-specific prompts in AI Insights have been updated and expanded. When a Framework is attached to an Artifact, four Framework prompts now appear at the top of your Prompts list:
Assess Instructional Practice using Attached Framework
Assess Professional Practice using Attached Framework
Assess Coaching Conversation using Attached Framework
Assess PLC Meeting using Attached Framework
The previous prompt "Assess Recording using Attached Framework" has been renamed to "Assess Instructional Practice using Attached Framework."
Mobile
Observations
Observations is available on iOS and Android, including tablet support. Observers can complete their full daily Observation workload from their phone or tablet — collecting Evidence, completing Forms, applying Frameworks, marking Steps done, and signing off.
Observer Tracker
When you open Observations on mobile, you land on the Observer Tracker. The Tracker has two tabs depending on how you work:
Observees — An alphabetical list of every Observee assigned to you. Tap an Observee to see all their Steps for the assigned Process along with each Step's current status. Tap any Step to begin working on it. Use the search icon to find a specific Observee quickly. If an Observee is participating in multiple Processes, tap the Process label at the top of their screen to switch between Processes.
Cards — If you have set up Cards on the web, you land here instead. Cards show your Observees in the custom sort order you arranged, with the specific Steps you planned to complete for each person. This gives you a focused, efficient path through your daily Observation workload.
For full details, see the Your Observations Dashboard: Observer View | Sibme Help Center.
Conducting Observations
Tapping a Step opens the Evidence screen. Each Step has up to three tabs:
Evidence — Add Videos, Audio recordings, documents, images, or other Artifacts as Evidence for the Step. When you tap Record Video or Record Audio, Synced Notes launches automatically so you can take timestamped notes while recording.
Summary — Tap this tab to generate an AI summary of everything collected in the Step, including transcription content, timestamped comments, Resources, and Framework ratings. You can edit the summary or regenerate it at any time after adding new Evidence.
Score — Depending on how the Step was configured, this tab shows either the Average Performance Level across all Framework ratings made in the Step, or a numeric score field you can fill in directly.
For full details, see the How to Work on an Observation Step | Sibme Help Center.
Marking Steps Done and Undone
Tap the Done button to mark a Step complete. A success screen confirms completion with the exact date and time recorded. If a Step is later marked Undone, the User marking it Undone must enter a reason before the change is saved. The Observer or Observee can view that reason at any time by tapping the ? button on the Step screen or the Undone link on the Step list.
Signatures
Steps that require a digital signature show your name in a signature format at the top of the screen. Tap Confirm & Sign to officially sign the Step using your Sibme account credentials. The date and time of the signature is recorded automatically.
What this means for you: Observers can complete their full daily workload — recording, evidencing, scoring, and signing — from their phone or tablet. No need to return to a desktop to finish an Observation.
