A recording that didn't capture or upload properly can't always be recovered. These habits help make sure every observation makes it into Sibme.

Before You Record
Use the mobile app, not a laptop browser. Recordings made in a browser can be lost if Wi-Fi drops. The app saves to your device first, so nothing is lost if the connection fails.
Charge the device, or keep it plugged in for long lessons.
Silence calls and notifications so they don't interrupt the recording. See Avoid Call Interruptions while Recording.
Do a 10-second test in the room and play it back to check sound and framing.
While You Record
Press Stop, not Pause, when you're done. A recording left paused may upload as a blank or corrupted file.
Keep the app open on screen during the recording.
Taking notes too? Start Synced Notes on your phone before you press record, then join from a laptop or second device to type. See Synced Notes and Notes.
After You Record
Check the length before you leave the room. If a 15-minute audio recording shows as one second, record again while you can and contact our help desk.
Make sure it uploads. Check the app's Offline tab. See My Recording Is Stuck in the Offline Tab.
What Sibme Can't Do After the Fact
Deleted recordings can't be restored. There is no trash. If auto-delete is off, a copy may still be in the app's Offline tab, which you can upload again.
Two recordings can't be joined into one. If a recording stopped partway through, upload both parts. You can select both and run Copilot on them together, or add both to the same huddle.
Recordings can be trimmed but not otherwise edited. See How Do I Edit Videos.
