How Do I Add or Remove a Collaborator to a Goal? | Sibme Help Center

Add people to your Goal in the role that fits how they'll contribute.

Written by Jeff Ritter

Collaborators let you bring other people into a Goal with a defined role. Each Collaborator can have one or more roles, and a Goal can have as many Collaborators as you need. You can add Collaborators when creating a new Goal or by editing an existing one.

Collaborator Roles

When you add a Collaborator to a Goal, you choose which role (or roles) they will have. The available roles are:

  • Viewer — Can view the Goal and Action Item details.

  • Editor — Can view and edit the details of a Goal and its Action Items. This includes changing the Goal Owner, Collaborators, start and end dates, Action Item due dates, and the evidence types available for an Action Item. Editors cannot view the actual evidence, status, reflection, or feedback for a Goal.

  • Evidence — Can add evidence (Videos, Audio, Resources, Huddles, Frameworks, and scripted notes) to support an Action Item.

  • Reviewer — Can review the evidence and reflection of an Action Item and provide feedback. Reviewers can also uncheck "Action Item done" to allow the Goal Owner to continue working on the Action Item.

A single Collaborator can be assigned any combination of these roles.

Adding Collaborators When Creating a Goal

During Goal creation, you add Collaborators in Step 3 (Roles) of the creation process.

  1. After completing the Goal details (Step 1) and Action Items (Step 2), you will arrive at the Roles section.

  2. Click + Add Roles.

  3. In the Roles modal, search for a person by name or email using the search field, or click Directory to browse all Users.

  4. Once a person appears in the list, select their role tile(s): Viewer, Editor, Evidence, or Reviewer. You can select more than one role for the same person.

  5. Repeat to add more people.

  6. Click Done when finished.

Adding Collaborators to an Existing Goal

  1. From the Goals list, click the (...) icon on the Goal you want to update and select Edit.

  2. Click Next to advance to Step 3 (Roles), or click the Roles step in the breadcrumb at the top.

  3. Click + Add Roles.

  4. Search for a person by name or email, or click Directory to browse.

  5. Select the role tile(s) for that person: Viewer, Editor, Evidence, or Reviewer.

  6. Click Done, then click Save and Publish or Save.

Adding a Group as a Collaborator

You can add a Group rather than an individual User. When you add a Group and click Add, each member of the Group is added to the Goal individually. All Group members start with the Owner role by default — change each person's role tile(s) before clicking Done.

Removing a Collaborator

  1. From the Goals list, click the (...) icon on the Goal and select Edit.

  2. Advance to Step 3 (Roles).

  3. Find the Collaborator you want to remove in the Roles list.

  4. Click the X next to their name to remove them.

  5. Click Done, then click Save and Publish or Save.

Please Note: At least one Goal Owner must remain on the Goal. Collaborators can be removed freely.
