Vision Analysis in Sibme uses advanced AI to analyze image content in Resources you upload to Sibme. Vision Analysis helps uncover insights from non-text-based materials—like scanned worksheets, handwritten notes, or instructional visuals—by interpreting the visual elements and converting them into actionable data. Educators and coaches benefit by gaining a fuller understanding of the materials being used in instruction, especially when those materials are shared or reviewed in the context of a recorded teaching moment.

When Vision Analysis Runs Automatically
Vision Analysis is only available to Accounts with AI turned on. Within those accounts, Vision Analysis will run automatically on any uploaded Resource under 5MB.
When a Resource Is Too Large for Automatic Vision Analysis
If a Resource is larger than 5MB, Vision Analysis will not run automatically. Instead, you’ll need to manually initiate the process on the Resource itself or from within AI Insights. You will know this is the case when you see a red tile on the Resource card in the AI Insights Context pane.
Manually Running Vision Analysis
There are 2 places to manually run Vision Analysis on a Resource depending on whether the Resource was attached to a Video or uploaded to a Huddle, Goal, Form, or Workspace. In both cases, Vision Analysis needs to be rerun with AI Insights. Here are the steps to process a large Resource file manually:
Go to AI Insights either where the Resource is attached to a Video or Document Commenting view of the Resource.
Locate the red tile with the Resource name.
Click the . . . more menu and choose Run Vision Analysis.
The tile will turn yellow and enter processing mode.
Once complete, the Resource Category will remain “Other” (if not previously set), and you can change the Category from the . . . menu if needed.
Even though Vision Analysis may take time for large files, this yellow state will persist until processing is complete.
