Who is this article for?

Based on the default user settings in the Sibme platform, you should have permission to complete this task if you are one of the user levels listed below. If you do not see the screens in this article, you can ask your administrator if you have permission.

  • Users

  • Admin

  • Super Admin

  • Account Owner

In some cases, a user might have access to multiple Sibme accounts. For institutions where there is a hierarchical relationship between a Parent Account and Child Accounts, such as a school district with individual campus accounts or a college or university with individual course accounts, users might have access to the Parent account and one or more Child Accounts. All actions in Sibme are specific to the account where the user is logged in when they take the action. If a user uploads a video to a space in a Child Account, only analytics for that video will be available in the Parent Account. The video itself will not be available in the Parent account. Additionally, users can have different roles in different accounts. A user could be the Account Owner of a Child account and an Admin in the Parent account, for example. The permissions and privileges available to a user are dependent upon the user’s role in each account.

Lastly, if users are in separate accounts within a Parent/Child Account hierarchy, the users will not be able to interact with one another (share video, resources, etc) in Sibme. A user in one Child Account will not be able to create a huddle and share video with a user in another Child Account. In order for two people to interact with one another in Sibme, they must both be users in the same account, even if their accounts are linked to one another in a Parent/Child Account hierarchy.
