Once you're assigned as an Observer, Observation Cards give you a way to pin the specific Steps you want to act on next and group them by Observee into an ordered list. The Observer dashboard shows every Observee you have been paired with across every Step in their Process — on a large Process, or when you're paired with many Observees, that grid can be broad. Cards let you cut it down to just the Steps you're ready to work on.

On the web, your Cards appear in a slide-in pane alongside the dashboard so you can jump to any Step with one click. On the mobile app, if you have Cards set up, your Cards list becomes the landing page when you open Observations — so you can walk in, open the app, and work through your day without hunting through the full grid.

Observation Cards are available to any User assigned as an Observer on a Process. You must be logged in on the web to build your Cards list; once built, your Cards carry over to the mobile app automatically.

This article is for these User levels, when they have been assigned as an Observer:

From your Observer dashboard, click the Observee Cards button in the toolbar. The Cards pane slides in from the right side of the screen. When you have no Cards yet, the pane shows the message: "Start creating Observee quick access cards by clicking a dot on the grid to the left."

Click Observee Cards again — or click the × in the pane header — to close it.

With the Cards pane open, click any status dot on the dashboard grid. A short menu appears:

Click Add Card. The Step appears in the pane under that Observee's name.

If you add a second Step for the same Observee, it stacks as a new row under the same card — you do not get a separate card. Each card groups all of the Steps you have pinned for one Observee.

Each Step row in a card shows the Step name, its current status dot, and a > arrow. Click the > arrow to go directly to that Step's work screen. The status dot updates as you and the Observee make progress, so you can see at a glance which Steps still need attention.

To remove an Observee's card, hover over the card header — the Observee's name row — and click the ⋯ button that appears. Choose Remove Card. This removes the entire card, including all Steps you pinned for that Observee. The Steps themselves are not deleted; they are just no longer pinned.

When you have cards for multiple Observees, use the ≡ (Sort Cards) button in the pane header to reorder them. Drag cards into the order you want — that order is what carries over to the mobile app.

Once you have built and sorted your Cards on the web, your list carries over to the mobile app automatically.

Open the Sibme mobile app and tap Observations in the navigation menu. If you have Cards set up, the app lands directly on the Cards tab — so you get to your pinned Steps without navigating through the full Observee list. The page heading reads Observee Cards.

Your Cards appear in the order you set on the web. Each card shows the Observee's name at the top. Steps are grouped under an Observation label — for example, Observation 1 — identifying which Observation Set each Step belongs to. Each Step row shows the Step name, a status dot reflecting its current status, and a > arrow.

Tap the > on any Step row to open the work screen for that Step. From there, you can add Evidence, complete a Form, or mark the Step Done.

Cards are view-only on mobile. To add, remove, or reorder Cards, open your Observer dashboard on the web.
