Similar to the Sibme web version, Users also have the option of adding time-specific text or audio comments to their videos when using the Mobile app. While watching the video a User can add a comment or note by either tapping on the Add Comment bubble on the video player or the green + button on the lower right-hand corner of the screen.

Who is this article for?

Based on the default user settings in the Sibme platform, you should have permission to complete this task if you are one of the user levels listed below. If you do not see the screens in this article, you can ask your Sibme account administrator if you have permission.

  • Users

  • Admin

  • Super Admin

  • Account Owner

Steps to accomplish the task:

During video playback, tap either the Add Comment bubble on the video player or the green + button on the lower right-hand corner of the screen to add a time-stamped text comment to the video.

Note: Unlike in the Web app, there is no option to set an All-video comment on mobile.

The comment box will appear where you can type notes in Rich Text Format, attach resources, add Custom Video Marker tags and/or tags, and if available in the account, Frameworks.

You can also add time-stamped audio comments to a video. To do this, tap the microphone icon from the various icons on top of your keyboard.

Tap and hold the red record button to start the audio comment.

Each audio comment cannot be longer than 5 minutes.

You can also edit a comment to make it a time-range comment, indicating the beginning and ending time associated with your comment.

To create a time-range comment on the mobile version of Sibme:

1. Create a time-stamped comment at the beginning of the range where you wish to create a time-range comment.

2. Tap the three dots next to the comment once it appears in the comment feed below the video.

3. Select "Edit Time”

4. Select the starting time by tapping next to "From" and selecting the appropriate time. Select the ending time by tapping next to "To" and selecting the appropriate time. Please be aware that the “From” time must be before the “To” time.

Once you've selected the range where you wish to tag the comment, save your changes by clicking the word "Save" on iOS devices and the checkmark on Android Devices.
