AI Tools uses generative AI to help you create more than 40 kinds of files educators reach for every day — lesson plans, rubrics, family emails, and more. You fill out a short form with a few details about what you need, and AI Tools drafts it in seconds. From there you can work with Sibme Copilot to refine the draft, or use it as the starting point for another file.
This article covers how to open AI Tools, choose a tool, fill out its form, and work with the draft Copilot creates, plus where to find your past conversations. For ideas on how to get the most out of each tool, see the Sibme AI Tools Companion Resources. A full list of every available tool is at the end of this article.
Who Is This Article For?
AI Tools is a premium feature, available only to Accounts that have purchased the Sibme AI package. When Sibme AI is enabled on an Account, every paid user Role has access to Sibme Copilot. If you don't see the Copilot options described here, contact our sales team today to learn about Sibme AI, or ask your administrator whether it is enabled for your Account.
Opening AI Tools
Sibme Copilot is built into your Home page, so there's no separate Copilot button to open first. You can reach AI Tools from your Home page or from any page you're working on.
From the Home Page
On your Home page, click the AI Tools button in the message box. The AI Tools pane slides in from the right. Close it any time with the X in the pane's top-right corner.
From an Artifact or Internal Page
On any internal page, click the blue Copilot button to open Copilot, then open AI Tools from there. This lets you create a resource without leaving the page you're on.
Choosing a Tool
The AI Tools pane opens to four categories: Planning & Content, Engagement, Assessment & Evaluation, and Communication. Choose a category to see its tools, then click the one you want. You can also use the dropdown at the top of the pane to search for a tool by name or jump to another category, and the star to mark a tool as a favorite.
Filling Out the Form
Clicking a tool opens its form in the pane. A few things to know:
The header reads AI Tools: «Tool Name», naming the tool you selected.
The form fits the pane; if it runs long, scrollbars appear.
An Auto-Saved message in the bottom-left keeps your progress as you work.
Three buttons sit in the bottom-right: Cancel, Clear, and the blue Generate.
The more detail you give, the more specific your Resource will be. When you're ready, click Generate and Copilot drafts what you asked for. Clear empties the form so you can start over — it doesn't save your work. For suggestions on filling out each tool, see the Sibme AI Tools Companion Resources.
Working with Your Draft
Copilot begins typing a draft of the tool you requested. From there you can refine it two ways: click Edit AI Tools to reopen the form and change your details, or simply chat with Copilot to ask for changes.
Hover over any message in the conversation to open its menu, where you can Export the message as a Word or PDF file, Copy the text to your clipboard, or Share it as a PDF to your Workspace or Huddles. To download, share, or copy the whole conversation instead of a single message, use History.
History
Sibme Copilot saves your AI Tools conversations in the History panel. A session is saved automatically once you send your first prompt, and it keeps saving until you close the Chat panel or move to a different conversation or AI module. Open History from the message box; past conversations are listed most-recent first. Close the pane with the X in its top-right corner.
Click the three dots on any conversation to:
Share it as a PDF to a Huddle or your Workspace,
Copy the text,
Export it as a PDF or Word file,
Rename it — helpful, since every AI Tool of a given type shares the same default name, or
Delete it.
