If you can't log in to Sibme, the cause is usually one of a few common issues — the wrong email or Username, a forgotten password, a sign-in method that doesn't match how your account was set up, or a browser that needs a refresh. Work through the sections below to find the fix that matches your situation.
Who Is This Article For?
Based on the default User settings in the Sibme platform, you should have permission to complete this task if you are one of the User levels listed below. If you do not see the screens in this article, you can ask your administrator if you have permission.

Start With the Right Email or Username
Many login problems come down to using the wrong email address or Username. A Sibme account can be set up with an email address or with an admin-assigned Username, and login is not case-sensitive — so capitalization won't be the problem.
If you're not sure which one your account uses, see Logging into Sibme for the steps to find your email or Username.
You Forgot Your Password
If you know your email or Username but not your password, reset it from the login page:
Go to app.sibme.com.
Click Forgot Password? in the lower right of the login area.
Enter your email address and click Send Reset Link.
Open the reset email and follow the link to create a new password.
If no reset email arrives within a few minutes, try a different email address — your account may be tied to one you weren't expecting. For more detail, see Password Reset.
"Account Not Found" or You Were Never Invited
If Sibme doesn't recognize your email or Username:
Check that you've been invited. Search your inbox — including work, school, and personal accounts — for an invitation email from Sibme. The account that received it is the one connected to your login.
Your account may be deactivated. If you've used Sibme before but can no longer log in, your administrator can reactivate your account or verify your institutional access.
If you're still unsure, reach out to the person who manages Sibme at your organization.
Google or Microsoft Sign-In Won't Work
Sign in with Google and Sign in with Microsoft are alternative ways to get into your existing Sibme account — not separate accounts. As long as your Google or Microsoft account uses the same email address as your Sibme account, you can sign in that way, even if you also have a Username and password. If one of these buttons doesn't log you in:
Check that the email matches. Sign in with Google or Microsoft only works when that account uses the same email address as your Sibme account. If the emails don't match, Sibme won't recognize the login.
Confirm you picked the right account. If you're signed in to more than one Google or Microsoft account, choose the one tied to your Sibme email when prompted.
You can still use your password. If Google or Microsoft isn't working, you can sign in with your email or Username and password instead (if your account has one), then sort out the social login afterward.
SSO Won't Work
Single sign-on (SSO) is different from Google and Microsoft sign-in. SSO is set up and controlled by your organization through its identity provider, and it's available only if your district or organization has enabled it. If SSO fails, the problem is usually on the organization's side — contact your administrator. To learn how it works, see Single Sign-On Overview.
The Page Won't Load or Login Looks Broken
If the login page won't load, looks broken, or you get stuck in a loop after signing in, the problem is usually with your browser:
Clear your browser's cache, then reload the page. See Clear your browser's cache for steps.
Update your browser, and try the latest version of Google Chrome, which Sibme fully supports.
Disable browser extensions that may interfere, then try again.
Confirm your device meets the Sibme System Requirements.
Still Need Help?
