The Filter Bar in Sibme is a powerful tool that allows you to narrow your results across the People Page, Goals Reports, Forms Reports, AI Dashboard, Analytics, and other parts of the site. While each area offers specific filtering options, there are four common fields you can use across all three: People, Groups, Custom Fields, and Dates. This article will walk you through using the Filter Bar and how each of these common filters works.

Steps to accomplish the task:
The Filter Bar can be found on many data and analytics pages and is a powerful tool to see the data in meaningful ways. Here's how to use the Filter Bar:
Pages where the Filter Bar is available will have the black Filter Bar icon on the left and a set of pills representing the filterable fields to the right of the icon. Each pill shows the number of selected items for that field, making it easy to see how your data is being filtered. To begin filtering, click on the Filter Bar icon.
Once clicked, the Filter Bar will expand, displaying a list of filter fields that are available for filtering. The following example is from Goals Reports but each Filter Bar will be unique for each location.
Clicking on any of the fields will open a pane that will allow you to select/deselect options or enter values to filter on. Multiple filters can be used to more finitely filter the data. Once the filters have been set, click the "Update List" at the bottom of the Filter Bar to filter the data.
The Filter Bar's intuitive layout helps you focus only on the data that matters to you.
Common Filter Fields Across Multiple Pages
The following fields are common across multiple pages and keeps the Filter Bars consistent across multiple areas within Sibme.
People Filter
The People filter allows you to focus your results on specific users within your account.
In non-Child accounts, all users in the account will be available for filtering.
In Child accounts, you can filter by users across multiple accounts (as permissions allow).
Use the search bar within the filter to quickly find individuals.
By default, all users are selected when the filter loads.
This filter is ideal for narrowing results to just the individuals you need to see.
Groups Filter
The Groups filter lets you view data related to specific User Groups that have been created in your Account.
Only Users assigned to predefined Groups will appear in this filter.
Use this filter to view Goals, Forms, or User Accounts tied to specific teams, departments, or cohorts.
By default, no Groups are selected—so remember to make a selection if you want to filter by Group.
This is useful when working with structured cohorts or implementation teams.
Custom Fields Filter
The Custom Fields filter gives you the flexibility to filter based on your organization’s unique metadata.
These fields are defined within your Account and may include department, region, grade level, or any other custom user information.
You can select one or more values to refine your data.
By default, no custom fields are selected.
Custom Fields are a powerful way to tailor your filters to match your organizational structure.
Dates Filter
The Dates filter helps you focus on activity or User creation within a specific date range.
In People Page, the Dates filter applies to when Users were added to the platform.
In Goals and Forms Reports, the filter applies to the start and due dates of the Goals or Forms.
By default, the filter shows a 12-month range around the current date, backwards 6 months and forwards 6 months.
Forms and Goals without date information will still appear at the bottom of the filtered list (if they match other filters).
Make sure to adjust the date range if you're searching for older or future-scheduled activity.
While each Filter Bar will have fields unique to each area, these common fields makes it easier and more consistent to use the Filter Bar within different sections of the platform.
