Artifacts (videos and other files) attached to Action Items as Evidence will be shared to the space connected to the Action Item’s goal. That means that, if you have an artifact in your Workspace and you attach it as Evidence to an Action Item in a Huddle Goal, a copy of the original artifact will be linked to the Action Item. All sharing permissions will be specific to where the goal is, not where the original artifact was shared from. Keep reading to find out how artifacts connect to each goal type.

Three Goal Types and their relationships to Artifacts

Workspace Goal

The Sibme Workspace is meant to be private to each user. That means that any goals created in your workspace will only be visible to you. This includes any artifacts connected as Evidence.

If you add Evidence to a Workspace Goal from your Workspace Artifacts, the original files will be attached to the Action Item.

However, if you share an artifact from a Huddle to a Workspace Goal, then a new copy of the file will be created in your Workspace and it will only be visible to you. If you add comments or make any changes to the original artifact in the Huddle you shared it from, they will not be reflected in your Workspace goal after you add it as Evidence to the Action Item.

Huddle Goal

Huddles are shared spaces between two or more people in an account. Only users who are participants in a Huddle can see any artifacts in that Huddle.

If you add an artifact from a Huddle to a Huddle Goal in that Huddle, the original artifact will be attached to the Action Item as Evidence. However, if you share an artifact from another Huddle, or from your Workspace to a Huddle Goal, a new copy of the artifact will be created in the Huddle connected to the Huddle Goal. If you add comments or make any changes to the original artifact in the Huddle or Workspace you shared it from, they will not be reflected in your Huddle Goal after you add it as Evidence to the Action Item. Anyone who is a participant of the Huddle will be able to see artifacts connected to a Huddle Goal, even if they are not the Goal’s Owner or a Collaborator on the Goal.

Account-Wide Goals

Account-Wide Goals are not connected to any of the Huddles you see on your Huddle Page. However, Account-Wide Goals function exactly the same as Huddle Goals. The only difference is that only Goal Owners and Collaborators with View/Review/Evidence rights will have access to Artifacts that are added as Evidence to an Account-Wide Goal. If you share an artifact from your Workspace or a Huddle to an Account-Wide Goal as Evidence, then a new copy of the file will be created in the Account-Wide Goal’s Action Item. If you add comments or make any changes to the original artifact in the Huddle or Workspace you shared it from, they will not be reflected in your Huddle Goal after you add it as Evidence to the Action Item.
