Can I Change a User's Password? | Sibme Help Center

The Account Owner (AO) and Super Admins (SAs) can change User's passwords for them so they can login to Sibme.

Sibme makes it easy for individuals who have forgotten their passwords to recover it from the login screen. For convenience and flexibility, the Account Owner (AO) and Super Admins (SAs) have the ability to change and Account participants password if they forgotten it.

Who is this article for?

Based on the default user settings in the Sibme platform, you should have permission to complete this task if you are one of the User levels listed below. If you do not see the screens in this article, you can ask your administrator to grant you permissions.

  • Account Owner

  • Super Admin

  • Admin: With additional privileges.

Steps to accomplish the task:

To change the password of a participant in the Account, follow these steps:

  1. From the Home Screen, access the People tab.  If you do not have a People tab, you have not been given permission to complete this task and will need to request permission from the Account Owner or a Super Admin.

  2. From the People page, locate the participant whose password you wish to change. You may User the Filter Bar (the black icon above the list of individuals) to help you find the person your looking for.

    • Please Note: If you are an Admin in an Account, you may be given permission to manage people in that Account.  However, you will only be given access to change the passwords of participants who are in the User role in your Account. You do not have the ability to change the passwords for other Admins, Super Admins, or Account Owners.

  3. Once you have located the person whose password needs to be changed, click on the . . . more menu on the far right and choose "Password".  

  4. After selecting "Password", you will be taken to the Change Password modal.


    You can also send an Individual an email to reset their password by clicking on the "Send Password Reset Email" button.

From the Change Password modal, you can type a new password in the textbox provided.  The following are the rules for an acceptable password:

  • Must be at least 8 characters long.

  • Must have both letters and numbers.

You will then be asked to confirm the password by typing it again.  Finally, select the green "Reset Password" button before leaving the screen.
