Depending on your individual role in your Sibme account, and the permissions granted to you by Goal Creators, Goal Owners, and Account Owners, you may or may not see all goals in your account. This article outlines the default rules for access to other users’ goals, as well as some common scenarios beyond the default.

Who is this article for?

Based on the default user settings in the Sibme platform, you should have permission to complete this task if you are one of the user levels listed below. If you do not see the screens in this article, you can ask your administrator if you have permission.

  • Users

  • Admin

  • Super Admin

  • Account Owner (Only Account Owners will be able to make account-wide changes to the default settings)

Parts of a Goal that can be viewable by other users

There are two main levels of access that users will have to other users’ goals.

Goal Overview Access: The ability to see a list of Goals with the current status of each goal.

Goal Details Access: The ability to see a Goal’s individual action items, measurement values, and attached evidence:

Default Permissions

Goal Overview Access

By default, Super Admins and Account Owners have Goal Overview Access for all Goals in an account.

By default, Admins will have Goals Overview Access only for Account Goals, Template Goals, Individual and Group Goals they are the Goal Owner for, and Individual/Group Goals they are a Collaborator on.

By default, Users will have Goals Overview Access only for Account Goals, Individual and Group Goals they are the Goal Owner for, and Individual/Group Goals they are a Collaborator on.

Goal Details Access

By default, Goal Details Access for each goal is only granted to Goal Owners and Collaborators with View, Evidence, or Review permissions. This is done when each Goal is created and access is unique to each Goal in the account.

NOTE: If a Collaborator only has Editor privileges on a Goal, they will not have Goal Details Access, as they only have access to Goal Creation screens for a Goal.

What if I want everyone to have access to all Goals?

Only the Account Owner for each account can make this decision. This article outlines ways to make all goals public in an account, or grant Goal Overview Access for all goals to all users.
